About hairs......... ??

One of the most essential skills in business is the ability to correctly asses the nature of person sitting opposite you. It could be your junior, your employee, your boss, your competitor or your client. The importance of this assessment cannot be emphasized enough. It could be the most important step in success or failure of your intended action.

When people in industry talk of experience, this is probably the skill they are looking for more than anything else. For most people it is instinctive, developed over a period of time . I can say I am comfortable with my skill level in this field. In fact I have trained extensively on this through practical guidance form my father. I can now judge the basic nature characteristics of people from their facial features. Over some years I realized I have an uncanny ability to understand a persons nature from a rough simple drawing made by a person. The only things I need in the scenery would be a sun/moon , river, house, tree and mountains. This I practiced extensively in my engineering years and had some proficiency at. I am looking forward to start it again given the diversity in students that will be available at ISB and hope to see my skills retained ( It might be quite rusty though).

I have been trying something else also ….. To develop a theory of relationship between a person’s hair and his/her nature. Ok I know it sounds a little crazy at first , but then I have been trying. It is difficult given that the type and texture of hair is largely dependent on our genes, but then aren’t our facial features also……

A few observations I have been able to make .
People with straight hair - These people are of simple nature, and emotional up to a certain limit only, beyond which they become unattached to circumstances.
People with curly, wavy and thin hair - These people always live with a boyish charm, their basic nature will be youthful. Peer group experience effects their thinking a lot.
People with normally straight hair but curved at or near ends - These people though have a straight forward nature , are adaptable to circumstances.
People with bald on top of their forehead are generally great thinkers, analytic and more imaginative.
People with a bald patch in the centre of their crown are people who are worrisome and never relax in any situation , pessimistic in most situations also, these are people who cannot think clearly of solutions in fit of anger.
People with a bald patch on the back ( top) of their head - these people are good planners and are able to think ahead, however they are not meticulous implementers.
People with thick hair - are less likely to be frustrated by circumstances.
People with medium hair - are likely to be the easiest to work with.
People with thin and messy hair - are generally dis-organized in their daily lives and live under constant stress and pretences, these people when placed in a competitive atmosphere are the most likely to result in a burn-out.

Nowadays I find it extremely difficult to correctly judge the person’s hair , what with all the shampoos, gels, coatings, colours , dyes and of- course the pollution around us. But none the less an idea.
