pre- admit jobs query
Been going thru the CAS form today and am unable to make a decision as to what 5 companies I wish to work with. Actually I have always felt that it is not the companies or compensation that matter to me , but the kind of roles I would like to be in. Though I have an experience of 7 + yrs in running a business it will be for the !st time post- ISB I will be in the job market, and I really am not able to take even a wild guess as to my suitability for any particular company.
Personally I would like to be in a strategic planning role. It could be any of the consultancies like marakon,bain etc. ( not Mckinsey though as they have a lot of IIm attitude guys, no offence meant though), or it could be challanging role in market development in ITC probably, or EA role with some desi multinatinal( or "wanna be") for that matter or a job in a VC or a leadership development A la GE/BP. In fact because of my diverse background and experience I could almost fit into all kinds of jobs ( or none) like finance, sales,marketing, entrepreneurship, business development,general management etc...
Tough choice... Infact I had been asked about my post ISB goals by Mr. Menon and I had clearly said I will be exploring a lot of opportunities at ISB not limited by anything, and here I am being asked to put it all in black and white even b4 I start to discover my most marketable traits...
In fact Mr. Menon suggested I might want to return back to business and I had told him that option is ruled out immidietly post-ISB since I want to widen my horizons and outlook before I plan my next venture, eventually though I will get back to entrepreneurship and venture incubation services.
Well .... will keep you all updated ..
