Things Change
I read Somewhere " The more things change the more they remain the same." And this is being personified at ISB. Our acco/ food etc. is all supposed to be like hassel free et all ... And here I am daily dealing with one uncertainity/ decision after another. The food options and prices have been watered down from last year, but the quality needs to be looked out for... Presently having waht students in the last batches were having at same rates.... but there are decisions to be taken with regard meal plans being offered the minimum would be in the region of 45000 per year..paid upfront ....
I have been alloted a room in the newly coming up Students Village and am not happy with the experience.. I have had to constatntly chase either ISB guys or Sarovar( service provider for acco.) for various things... The common area in our village is still not ready , we are yet to get the area wi-fi enabled. The laundromat has just got operaional but without any drying facilities, so u need to carry the clothes from ur room to the laundromat and carry the wet ones back.
On top of all this there seems to be a new ceiling imposed on the use of electricity usage in our rooms 1000 units for shared flat and 400 units for family acco. A lot of us are furious abt it .... since you hit the ceiling at just 3-3.5 hrs usage of A/c per day in this sweltering heat... Lets see what happens...
So all in all I seem to be dealing with all the normal problems of living in a hostel that I dealt with when I was doing my engg. ,Just that I expected the exp. @ISB to be a little different.
